Post Frame & Steel Frame Buildings
VAP CONSTRUCTION, INC., designs buildings to withstand Colorado’s and Wyoming’s heavy snowfalls and rainstorms, working in parts of the two states that many other builders won’t touch.
“We don’t just build to meet minimum building codes. We have our own standards and our own engineered designs that make for a sturdier building rated for heavy snow and wind conditions,” said Linda Young-Vap, co-owner of Vap Construction. “And we take the time to design the building with our customers so that they are aesthetically pleasing as well.”
Based in Atwood, Kan., Vap Construction is a family-owned, general contracting company specializing in post-frame and steel-frame buildings for agricultural, commercial, equine and residential use. With more than 25 years in the industry, the company works with farming and ranching communities in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas, constructing anything from calving barns and riding arenas to farm shops and residential garages.
“We can literally build just about any type of building, but what we’re really known for is the quality of our buildings,” Young-Vap said.
“We aren’t intimidated by the strict building codes in the Front Range, because we only build the highest quality buildings anyway. Our structures often use up to 25 percent more lumber than our competitors because of their design, and we don’t cut corners.”
Vap Construction works with each of its clients to make sure the buildings it designs and builds are both functional and beautiful, either matching the other structures on the customer’s property or designing a statement piece that will stand out all on its own.
Accredited by the National Frame Building Association, the company is continually investing in training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and building practices. The company also is licensed to build in areas that some other builders are not.
“Our work speaks for itself, but we have lots of customer testimonials on our website and on Google that we invite property owners to read before they shop around,” Young-Vap said. “We have a strong reputation, and we stand behind our work.”
